Lead and support a high performing Commercial Property Adjusting team in Scotland, primarily from our Glasgow office. Provide day to day leadership, mentoring, development, performance management, financial target management, compliance with Sedgwick processes and regulatory requirements, and build trusted relationships with insurer clients, brokers and internal partners.
Location: Glasgow (hybrid working). Job Type: Permanent. Salary: Competitive, with company vehicle or allowance and benefits.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of commercial loss adjusters and technical colleagues.
- Ensure exceptional service delivery and robust technical quality on commercial property claims.
- Drive performance and manage financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with Sedgwick processes and regulatory requirements, including the Consumer Duty Act.
- Build trusted relationships with insurer clients, brokers and internal partners.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, typically 2-3 days per week in the office.
- Experience handling commercial property insurance claims.
- Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Proven leadership ability to motivate and support a high performing technical team.
- First class written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong IT capability and ability to maintain accurate, high quality electronic files.
- Organisational strength: prioritise, manage deadlines and maintain control under pressure.
- Team collaboration skills and support for colleague development.
- Experience in performance management: coaching, mentoring and structured discussions.
- Compliance mindset with understanding of regulatory expectations and the Consumer Duty Act.
- Commercial awareness of how team performance influences financial outcomes and client satisfaction.
