This is a contract engagement offering genuine flexibility â typically 1â3 days per week, with workload varying week to week. The role is primarily Christchurchâbased, with occasional travel across the South Island and the odd overnight stay when required. Youâll draw on your technical expertise to support investigationâfocused engineering work, particularly within an insurance or forensic context.
This role would suit someone with:
- A background in structural engineering or civil experience
- CPEng registration preferred, though this is flexible depending on depth of experience
- Previous experience in insuranceârelated investigations highly regarded (experience following the Canterbury earthquakes would be particularly valuable)
- A pragmatic, independent working style and strong professional judgement
- Christchurchâbased, with the ability to travel as required
