About the Role
This is a contract engagement offering genuine flexibility — typically 1–3 days per week, with workload varying week to week. The role is primarily Christchurch‐based, with occasional travel across the South Island and the odd overnight stay when required. You’ll draw on your technical expertise to support investigation‐focused engineering work, particularly within an insurance or forensic context.
About You
- A background in structural engineering or civil experience
- CPEng registration preferred, though this is flexible depending on depth of experience
- Previous experience in insurance‐related investigations highly regarded (experience following the Canterbury earthquakes would be particularly valuable)
- A pragmatic, independent working style and strong professional judgement
- Christchurch‐based, with the ability to travel as required
- Flexible, part‐time contract work
- Varied and interesting investigation assignments
