The Average Adjuster is a specialist technical role, supporting shipowners, insurers and brokers worldwide in the resolution of marine insurance claims. You’ll be the trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex claims processes, interpreting policy wordings, and calculating policy liabilities. Each day brings a new challenge: analysing intricate facts, adjusting claims to reach correct and equitable settlements using knowledge of relevant insurance law and adjusting practice and collaborating with legal and industry experts to identify and resolve disputes should they arise. The role demands both analytical rigour and empathy—clear communication reassures clients, while independent judgment ensures fair outcomes.
