The role
The purpose of the role is to support Sedex Members to effectively embed Sedex into their ethical sourcing process, by supporting them with Supplier Onboarding, Audit management and acting as the interface between Sedex and Sedex Members.
The role is initially on a 12‑month Fix Term Contract basis with the potential to continue into a longer contract. It also offers hybrid or remote working options depending on the case, with occasional visits to Sedex Members’ office(s).
Main Responsibilities
- Performing regular supplier data matching to identify the outstanding actions for suppliers’ registration, linking and Self‑assessment questionnaire completion.
- Conducting Risk Assessment and prioritisation to inform the onboarding strategy.
- Review of existing processes within Responsible Sourcing Policy including Code of Conduct.
- Development of Standard Operating Procedure and Implementation and Monitoring Framework with Sedex embedded in supplier compliance strategy.
- Supporting with drafting the communication to the suppliers about the project and ethical requirements.
- Running risk assessment for registered suppliers and identifying the suppliers in scope for the Audit.
- Contacting suppliers in scope and asking them to register on Sedex, activate their account and complete the Self‑assessment questionnaire and establish the links and visibility for the supply chain.
- Leading on Audit booking and Audit reports visibility on Sedex.
- Review and assess the Audits’ results in line with clients’ assessment/grading criteria. Prepare the analysis on suppliers Audits and non‑compliance data.
- Leading on the suppliers’ post‑Audit compliance process with non‑compliances to be closed in a timely manner and with derogation process in place where necessary.
- Preparing regular reports with the program’s KPIs, ongoing progress, highlighting actions needed from internal teams and suppliers on non‑compliant suppliers and outstanding Audit issues.
- Engaging with internal teams on suppliers onboarding and escalation process.
- Ensuring Sedex Members’ accounts contain the links with active/existing suppliers that are in line with Sedex Members’ suppliers’ database and removing any outdated links with delisted/not active suppliers.

- Understanding the needs of the Sedex Member to help them meet their ethical sourcing objectives in line with Sedex products and services.
- Supporting to effectively embed the Sedex system within its organisation.
- Identifying and reporting to Sedex Product team specific Sedex system issues affecting the Sedex Member and their suppliers.
- Engaging with key external and stakeholders including internal Sedex Team (Helpdesk, PMO team, Supplier Engagement team, Account Management, Product, etc).

- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot table, formulas, VLookup, data matching).

- Previous experience in customer‑facing roles and engaging with internal and external stakeholders (buyers, technical managers, auditors).
- Collaboration with suppliers and understanding the level of efforts taken to follow the Sedex Member’s ethical requirements.
