We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our expanding Engineering Services team in the North West. The role will have overall responsibility for their engineering services projects, reporting on a regular and routine basis to the Contracts Manager/Head of Operations. Manage the engineering services team in delivering a consistent service safely, on time, quality and cost, ensuring client’s expectations are met in full and contract performance targets achieved.
Hours of work will be 39 per week, worked flexibly between the hours of 7.00am to 5.00pm – Monday to Friday.
What you’ll do:
- Manage all Health & Safety compliance for all trade operatives
- Ensure all work activity is completed in accordance with relevant Risk Assessments / Method Statements
- Promote high standards of health & safety within the team
- Ensure that all works are commenced with the upmost regards towards quality, safety and productivity
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, on time and in accordance with design standards, quality specifications and company procedures
- Assist the Contracts Manager/Head of Operations in relation to the co-ordination of works and sourcing small plant and equipment
- Liaise with Contracts Manager/Head of Operations for scaffold and access equipment alterations ensuring a sufficient lead in time
- Be the point of contact on site for all work activities within the agreed scope of works
- Ensure plant and equipment utilised by operatives under their control are in good condition and the operatives are trained to use them
- Ensure operatives under your control have received a suitable induction
- Lead by example with positive behaviours whilst actively discouraging poor behaviours and horseplay
- Attend trade co-ordination meetings with the Contracts Manager/Head of Operations
- Supervise a team of trades operatives/sub-contractors in the delivery of works on site
- Carry out relevant quality checks in line with ITP and handover works to the Contracts Manager/Head of Operations
- Collate timesheets for the team ensuring accurate completion and timely returns
Have you got what it takes:
- BS7671 Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- NVQ Level 3 – Electrical Installation (or equivalent industry assessed qualification)
- ECS Gold Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Be prepared to travel throughout the UK
- Able to produce quality work within reasonable deadlines
- Be flexible with regard to working hours and location
- SMSTS
- Attend all H&S training relevant to your role
