An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Wood Machinist to join H&S Joinery based in Blackburn.
In this role, you'll play an important part in our production process, working alongside experienced team leaders to manufacture high-quality joinery products.
You'll be responsible for carrying out joinery work to the highest standards while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Hours of work will be: 7.45am 4.00pm - Monday to Thursday and 7.45am to 3.15pm - Friday.
What youll do: Machine
Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate equipment like band saws, spindle moulders, planers, 4 & 7 head cutters.
Reading
Drawings: Interpret drawings, cut lists, and production job sheets.
Material
Preparation: Select, measure, mark out, and inspect timber and wood boards for quality.
Maintenance & Safety: Keep tools sharp, service machinery, clear wood dust, and wearing of suitable PPE Have you got what it takes: Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety.
Strong accuracy in measuring, mathematical capability for calculating timber quantities, and attention to detail.
Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying materials.
Is a quick learner and willing to be trained on new equipment and procedures.
