An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join our Housing Partnerships team based in Bolton. The main purpose of the role is to procure materials for building contracts.

What you'll do:
- Procure materials from suppliers with agreed trading agreements
- Procure materials with the required accreditations
- Procure materials in-line with the build program ensuring materials are delivered to site in-line with the procurement schedule and site requirements
- Ensure materials ordered meet contract specification
- Offer alternative products that may save time and/or money
- Negotiate commercial agreement with suppliers and within the contract allowance
- Ensuring all orders and deliveries comply with health & safety and environmental policies
- Resolve any defective delivery issues
- Purchase orders and enquiries to be raised in line with company procedures
- Assist estimating departments with product information and current pricing
- Assist accounts department with any invoice related issues
- Attend pre-start contract meeting to obtain contract information and site conditions
- Input all official orders onto the Coins computer system for auditing and accounting
- Work in an office environment with consideration to other staff members
- Communicate Seddon trading agreements to the Seddon teams to ensure arrangements are maximised at bid stage and realised in delivery stage
- Where required, provide representation for the company at engagement and collaboration events throughout each of the regions we work
