What We Are Looking For
We are seeking several Process Operators to join our rapidly expanding processing plant, manufacturing alcohol, starch, gluten, and glucose syrups. Our production facility is highly automated, using SCADA systems, operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. You will be responsible for the effective running and monitoring of one of our designated manufacturing/processing plants, to ensure the continuous flow of the production process.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operating processing/manufacturing plant, safely and efficiently according to procedure to ensure continuity of the process.
- The monitoring and control of all plant and utility operations, making any necessary adjustments to ensure seamless product flow.
- Retrieving samples and conducting tests to ensure product meets specification requirements.
- Taking remedial action when product fails to meet specifications requirements and reanalysing.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and applicable programs (e.g., HACCP) and ensuring all paperwork/documentation is accurately recorded.
- Ensuring all chemicals required in the manufacturing process are topped up and restocked as required.
- Ensuring good hygiene practices are adhered to by carrying out both routine and non-routine cleaning tasks.
- Assist the maintenance department with preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance activities.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Previous experience gained within a food/drink manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Able to work alone, unsupervised, for long periods.
- Be a flexible team member.
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Capable of lifting heavy goods of up to 25kg of manual handling equipment.
