Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support the continual growth and development of our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Automation and Controls Manager, you will be actively involved in developing and maintaining the site\’s electrical control systems and associated documentation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining all electrical drawings on site, using SPAC software
- Liaising with Electrical Project Engineer and Site Electrical Engineer when integration into MV/LV distribution system is required
- Work alongside the Automation and Control team to manage the design and integration of modifications into the PLC control infrastructure
- Identify areas of obsolescence to allow accurate budgets for replacement activities to be set
- For modifications, produce drawings, cable schedules, materials list and test documentation that can be provided to authorised electrical contractors as part of requests for quotation
- Help to develop a system to manage/control project documentation and control of change
- Provide support to the Project department and the Electrical Project Engineer when required
Qualifications
- Professional qualification(s) in Electrical Engineering/Design essential
- FMCG / Process background highly desirable
- Experience in a similar industrial role required of at least 3-5 years
- Proven experience in managing multiple electrical projects across production/manufacturing sites
- Hands-on approach to work
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Very strong collaborative and communication skills
