We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to join our product engineering team. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you will act as the bridge between product strategy and engineering execution. You will sit within a cross-functional team of engineers, test specialists, architects and DevOps, working closely with our Business Product Lead who defines long-term strategy. Your focus will be on translating that vision into a clear roadmap, a well-structured backlog, and consistently successful releases. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured agile environments, enjoys creating clarity from complexity and is passionate about delivering high-quality enterprise software. This role is hybrid in our office in Blackfriars London.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Product Delivery & Backlog Management
- Own and continuously refine the product backlog, writing high-quality user stories with clear acceptance criteria and sufficient technical detail for engineering teams.
- Break down large initiatives into well-defined, sprint-ready work items that can be confidently estimated and delivered.
- Act as the day-to-day decision maker for the team, unblocking delivery and maintaining sprint focus.
- Ensure strong backlog hygiene and traceability across Jira and Confluence.
- Roadmap & Prioritisation
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring it is clearly structured, visible and up to date.
- Prioritise work in alignment with long-term strategy, balancing customer value, technical debt, platform health and security.
- Maintain clear alignment between strategic initiatives and delivered outcomes.
- Agile Delivery & Release Management
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies across a two-week sprint cycle, continuously improving team effectiveness.
- Run clear and engaging sprint demos for both internal and customer-facing stakeholders.
- Own release notes and communications, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Track release success, validating outcomes against expectations and monitoring adoption.
- Support a move towards continuous delivery with frequent, high-quality releases.
- Design, Quality & Automation
- Create and iterate on product designs and prototypes in collaboration with engineering and product stakeholders.
- Embed a strong quality-first mindset, ensuring stories include testing, security and operational considerations from the outset.
- Promote a shift-left approach and an automation-first culture across delivery workflows.
- Monitor delivery metrics and performance, proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
Technical Experience & Skills
Essential
- 3 to 5 years experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or Business Analyst within agile engineering teams delivering SaaS products to enterprise customers.
- Proven experience managing backlogs, decomposing complex initiatives and leading Scrum ceremonies for cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence or similar tooling.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured and impactful documentation.
- A strong bias towards automation and continuous improvement.
