We are looking for a Cyber Security Consultant to join our expanding team. This is a high customer-facing role where you’ll become a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them strengthen their security posture, navigate incidents with confidence, and continually evolve their security operations.

You’ll work closely with customers, internal engineering teams and senior stakeholders to deliver our main Cyber offering. If you thrive on building long-term partnerships, enjoy variety in your day-to-day work, and want to make a genuine impact on customer security outcomes, this role offers exactly that.

This is a hybrid role, designed to balance collaboration, flexibility, and customer proximity: 2 days per week in our Blackfriars (London) office, 1 day per week on-site with a key customer in Crawley and 2 days per week working from home.

SecurityHQ is a global cybersecurity company with a simple yet powerful mission: to engineer cybersecurity by design. Our specialist teams design, build and manage tailored security solutions that promote clarity and trust, build momentum in improving security posture, and maximise the value of cybersecurity investment.

We defend today, while actively mitigating the risks of tomorrow — and beyond. Our customers are supported 24/7, 365 days a year, and are never alone. Everything we do is shaped by our belief that great security is both technically excellent and deeply human.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Become a trusted security partner for assigned client accounts, building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Lead regular operational and strategic conversations, ensuring services continuously align to client needs.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers, delivering clear, confident and proactive communication.
  • Support complaint management and relationship recovery where required, always with the customer experience front of mind.
  • Provide expert guidance on SIEM/XDR services, detection strategies and operational uplift.
  • Support incident response activities, from investigation through to lessons learned and improvement planning.
  • Analyse incidents, logs, integrations and tooling outputs to identify trends, gaps and opportunities.
  • Assist with mapping and reviewing customer network and security architectures.
  • Contribute to threat modelling and detection use case development.
  • Support change management processes to ensure controlled, auditable service delivery.
  • Develop high-quality documentation, reports and supporting materials.
  • Prepare insightful security reports and confidently present findings to both technical teams and senior leadership.
  • Lead SecOps meetings, operational reviews and security consultations.

  • Microsoft & Azure Security
  • Defender for Endpoint / Server / 365
  • Office 365
  • SIEM / Observability
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel
  • Experience with Datadog or similar observability platforms
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles across Azure, AWS and GCP, ideally within managed services environments.
