We are looking for a Night Security Officer to join our Security team on a 4 on, 4 off rotation, primarily working overnight shifts, while maintaining flexibility to support day shifts as required by the business. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of the hotel and everyone within it, around the clock. Reporting to the Head of Security and Safety, you will be a calm, reliable and highly professional presence across the property.

You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for guests, residents and colleagues, patrolling all areas of the hotel, monitoring CCTV systems, controlling access points and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies during the night. This is a hands-on role in a 24/7 operation where attention to detail, discretion and sound judgement are critical. You will combine strong security awareness with excellent guest service, playing a key role in maintaining a safe environment while delivering a professional and approachable service to guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment across all areas of the hotel during overnight operations
  • Conducting regular patrols of guest and back-of-house areas to ensure safety and compliance
  • Monitoring CCTV, alarm systems and access control procedures
  • Responding effectively to incidents, emergencies and guest concerns with professionalism and discretion
  • Managing access to restricted areas and maintaining accurate records where required
  • Handling disturbances or sensitive situations using sound judgement and conflict resolution skills
  • Supporting guests and colleagues with security-related requests in a polite and service-focused manner
  • Upholding all Health & Safety, security procedures and confidentiality standards at all times
What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in a security role within a luxury hotel or similar environment is highly desirable, along with a valid SIA licence and First Aid certification. You will be calm, dependable and observant, with a strong sense of integrity and a natural ability to handle situations with discretion and professionalism. You take pride in delivering both exceptional security and guest service, understanding the importance of balancing safety with a seamless luxury experience. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently across a rotating shift pattern. Flexibility is key, with a willingness to support additional shifts, including days, when required. A good level of spoken and written English and eligibility to work in the UK are required.
