Reporting to the Head of Facilities, you’ll provide a visible and reassuring presence across the park, helping prevent incidents, identify risks and keep our community safe.
We are now looking for a dedicated Security Team Member to join our team on a set night shift rota of 12-hour shifts, delivering a visible security presence and comprehensive patrol coverage across the site. From patrolling the park and responding to concerns to welcoming late arrivals, this is a varied, practical role where friendly service and sound judgement go hand in hand. You’ll also support other park teams when needed, particularly during quieter trading periods.
You’re someone who notices what’s happening around you and takes pride in doing things properly. Calm under pressure and confident speaking with people, you can handle sensitive situations professionally while remaining friendly and respectful. You’re comfortable working independently, following procedures and knowing when to ask for support. You also enjoy being part of a wider team and are happy to get involved in practical tasks that help the park run smoothly. Previous security experience would be helpful, but we also welcome applications from people with relevant customer service, patrol or stewarding experience who bring the right approach and a willingness to learn.
Essential Requirements:
- A valid driving licence.
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence (Training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
- Clear, confident and professional communication.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to incidents.
- A reliable, responsible and proactive approach.
- The ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records and work independently.
- A willingness to complete relevant training and support wider park operations.
Experience in security, holiday parks or other large public environments, alongside knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety or emergency procedures, would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular foot and vehicle patrols across the park, maintaining a visible and reassuring presence.
- Identify security risks, hazards and maintenance concerns, following our See It, Sort It, Report It approach.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies and guest concerns, involving colleagues or emergency services where needed.
- Help uphold park rules and address inappropriate behaviour respectfully, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Complete clear, factual incident reports, patrol logs and shift handovers, preserving relevant evidence.
- Remain alert to safeguarding concerns and report these promptly through the appropriate procedures.
- Support fire safety, health and safety and emergency arrangements, including identifying blocked exits and unsafe conditions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues using radios and other equipment, following training and company procedures.
- Assist with late arrivals, check-ins and guest enquiries when reception is closed.
- Support wider park operations as required, including linen preparation, safe LPG cylinder handling, hire fleet checks and seasonal maintenance or winterisation tasks, in line with training and authorisation.
Security operations run across nights, weekends, peak holiday periods and events. Flexibility to work a rotating 12-hour night shift pattern is essential. The role involves working across the park, including outdoor patrols in different weather conditions. Duties will vary with the season and the needs of the business.
