Trinity Fire & Security are seeking an accomplished Small Works Manager to lead installation operations across the North East. This is an important leadership role where you will guide skilled teams of Installation and Commissioning Engineers, oversee multiple concurrent projects with major clients, and shape the operational success.

The role of Works Manager involves taking ownership of all works-related activities across the region, ensuring operational excellence, strong financial performance, and the consistent delivery of high-quality installation projects. The key responsibilities are:

  • Provide clear leadership and direction to Installation Engineers, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical and safety standards.
  • Drive operational performance across labour utilisation, productivity, financial KPIs, and health & safety compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the Works Support team to ensure seamless communication, job scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Lead on installation-related escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with wider Trinity support teams to optimise engineer productivity, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor, analyse, and respond to daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports, ensuring continuous improvement and performance tracking.

Experience required includes:

  • Extensive Fire & Security experience, with strong technical understanding of installation, commissioning, and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record in managing regional P&L, resource planning, and operational targets.
  • Customer-focused approach, committed to delivering exceptional service and building long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to leadership.
