As a Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in protecting our people, site and assets, helping to maintain a safe, secure and professional environment every day. Working in line with the Joint Business Agreement and General Statement of Security Requirements (GSSORs), you’ll respond to incidents, operate advanced security systems and bring a strong sense of vigilance, professionalism and pride to a role that directly supports the safety and resilience of the business.

Our Security Officers are at the heart of protecting our people, site and company assets, helping to create a safe, secure and professional environment every day. In this varied and highly visible role, you’ll carry out regular patrols on foot and by vehicle across internal areas, external buildings and site perimeters, helping to deter criminal activity, identify potential security and safety risks, and keep our operations running safely and securely. As a Security Officer, you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and visitors, delivering a professional, reassuring and vital service that helps keep the business safe and secure. This role follows a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, covering either day or night shifts. Day shifts run from 6am to 6pm, and night shifts run from 6pm to 6am. This role is based onsite working from Chalgrove.

What You’ll Do:

  • Access Control: Controlling pedestrian and vehicular entry/exit points by checking credentials, verifying identification, issuing passes, and escorting visitors when necessary.
  • Incident Response: Responding promptly to security incidents, emergencies (e.g., fire, medical emergencies), and distress calls, managing breaches, and escalating situations to security supervisor or other first responders as required.
  • Searches: Performing thorough security checks on vehicles.
  • Monitoring Systems: Operating and monitoring security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and communication devices like radios and telephones.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate daily logs and completing detailed incident reports on breaches of security, defects, and other observations.
  • Traffic Management: Managing and controlling vehicle movement and parking on-site.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must hold a valid frontline SIA licence.
  • Proven experience as a security officer or in a similar security officer role.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of security systems, equipment (CCTV, alarms, radios), and operating procedures.
  • Basic PC based skills, with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.).
