Maritime Installation Team Supervisor Job Description Working with customers across UK government sectors in particular, but not exclusively, the maritime engineering environment. The Maritime Installation Team Supervisor shall ensure that the highest engineering standards are adhered too, to adopt a professional image and maintain a high regard to customer support, whilst always acting as an ambassador for the company. A flexible approach to work is essential due to work being carried out over many sites in the United Kingdom and at times other countries. Working with the team to plan and execute work in an effective and efficient manner and within agreed service level requirements. The applicant must be prepared to respond to the customers, often, short notice directives. Responsibilities: To assist the Installation Manager with project management and task management of support and installation requirements Attend surveys and meetings with Installation Manager to ensure that programme, technical and interface requirements are fully understood for future implementation Liaise closely with customers and shipyard authorities Working with sub-contractors Ability to impart system knowledge and understanding to end users, including delivering basic training courses Maintain a flexible approach to work General Drive Company vehicles (vans and cars) within the constraints of current motoring law Maintain awareness of ISO9001 standards and company operating procedures Work together for the mutual benefit of the Company and each ensure your own health and safety and that of others in the vicinity Provide support for other projects within the business Prepared to spend time away from home and work weekends We are looking for a committed and professional individual with The ability to understand system level engineering challenges involved with installations on Maritime vessels Experience in the supervisory management of engineering issues in a fast-paced environment Previous experience with the MoD is highly desirable Possess an understanding of MoD (Royal Navy) engineering standards, ship engineering and safety procedures and general dockyard safety procedures and protocols. CBRN experience preferred but not essential A background knowledge of RF, Fibre optics and data cables and associated terminations and testing Need to be comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project applications Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas.
