We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Engineer to oversee the management, maintenance, and enhancement of M365 technologies utilised by staff. Your primary focus will be ensuring optimal service delivery, cost-effectiveness, and robust security measures. You will also assist the business in maximising the potential of M365 products, promoting a culture of efficient collaboration and enhanced productivity. Working closely with the ICT Service Delivery team, you will help design and implement modern, scalable, and secure IT systems. To succeed in this role, you must possess expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, including Exchange, OneDrive for Business, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Admin Centre, and Azure Services. Key accountabilities Manage, maintain, research, recommend and implement configuration and best practices: Exchange; Teams; SharePoint; OneDrive and other related products Ensure high availability and performance of the Microsoft 365 services Advocate and promote the internal toolset and make sure they are being used to their full potential Liaise with users, architects, and business areas to understand and develop ideas on how the M365 suite can help efficiency, save costs, or negate the needs of other systems Work with Microsoft account managers and the ICT support team to stay on top of new features and releases ensuring that business areas are aware of new functionality before it is rolled out Guide and train junior members of the team in day-to-day procedures as necessary, so they can train users, and complete basic ICT administration tasks Support the Head of IT Service Delivery to develop network strategy and deliver supporting projects to meet business requirements on time and within budget, from procurement to the delivery of the service. Key requirements: Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, Azure Services) and hybrid Exchange environments. Proficiency in enterprise mobility and security, including Intune MDM/MAM, Entra ID, Information Protection, and Threat Protection. Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams governance, administration, and voice/video services. Skilled in Active Directory/Entra ID management and Microsoft licensing, including Azure subscription management. Proficiency in PowerShell and Power Automate for automating tasks and processes. Experience in leading Microsoft 365 implementation projects and adopting new features in large enterprise environments. Capability to translate business requirements into actionable technical milestones DV highly desirable; candidates with active DV clearance will be fast-tracked.
