Contract: Full Time, Permanent Location : RAF Alconbury/Molesworth (Travel to other locations as far as London will be required) Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00AM-4:30PM) Salary: Up to £42,000 (dependent on experience) Within VIVO we are currently recruiting for an HVAC Engineer to undertake effective, compliant and timely delivery of planned and reactive AC maintenance tasks at RAF Alconbury and the surrounding area (travel to RAF sites as far as London will be required at least once a month) . You will be undertaking air conditioning, cooling and refrigeration repair and maintenance work on MOD buildings. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will work as part of the on-site engineering team made up of 10+ multi skilled engineers. Your daily tasks will be allocated via tablet device and you will self-schedule your work tasks throughout the month. You will be fault finding, investigating, and undertaking reactive repairs to various installations such as: DX splits, package chillers, commercial fridges and freezers and air handling units. You will be replacing belts, and removing and fitting pumps and fans. What you’ll need to do this role It is essential that you hold one of the following qualifications: C&G Level 2 NVQ Diploma 6187-01 (unit 230/530) in Installing, Testing and Maintaining Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems. C&G Level 2 NVQ Diploma 6187-02 (unit 230/530) in Installing and Maintaining Refrigeration Systems. C&G Level 2 NVQ Diploma 7189-02 (unit 209/509) in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems. It is ideal that you have experience in a commercial background. This role will include travel within multiple locations so you must hold a full, clean UK driving licence. A company van will be provided for business use. It is desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD or Construction/Property Maintenance environment. You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role .
