Electrical Engineers – SC Cleared Location: Luton or Edinburgh Duration: 6 months Level: Various (Engineer/Senior Engineer/Principal Engineer) We are looking for Configuration Engineers at various levels to join our Aerospace & Defence client at their Luton and Edinburgh locations. * Together with our team, you will contribute to the development of wiring (EWIS) for electrical systems for aerospace and defence products. * You will be responsible for the end-to-end electrical hardware design of electrical systems – from functional electrical system installation to prototype improvement * You will work on the development and modification of electrical systems such as onboard networks, data bus systems, and IFE systems. In doing so, you will integrate cable bundles and electrical assemblies into predefined aircraft or vehicle structures. * You will create and maintain circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, pin- to -pin definitions, and other documentation. * Your areas of responsibility include: DMU consulting and design, harness design in 3D and/or2D, creation of drawings, analysis of change requests, interface management, and the preparation of technical documentation * The coordination and management of suppliers of electrical systems * Additionally, the preparation of certification documentation in the context of EASA and FAA is part of your responsibilities * In addition, you will support qualification and ground tests for the electrical wiring interconnection system (EWIS) and establish safety requirements for it * Other areas of responsibility may include the development of processes and guidelines in cable harness development Ideal candidates: * Have a successfully completed engineering degree (aviation, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar) * Bring 3+ years of professional experience in the field of electrical system installation (aviation) * Have very good knowledge of CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, Enovia VPM (3DCOM), Windchill / PDMLink, and SAP * Are familiar with requirements management, validation, and verification of electrical systems * Have dealt with the development and certification of the “electrical wiring interconnection system” (EWIS) * Bring practical experience with EASA Part 21J and CS-25 / FAR 25 * Experience in system architecture is desirable * Have a strong affinity for innovative technologies and contribute your own ideas to improve processes Please send your latest CV LA International is a HMG approved ICT Recruitment and Project Solutions Consultancy, operating globally from the largest single site in the UK as an IT Consultancy or as an Employment Business & Agency depending upon the precise nature of the work, for security cleared jobs or non-clearance vacancies, LA International welcome applications from all sections of the community and from people with diverse experience and backgrounds.
