Space Forge is a fast growing advanced materials company. Our goal is to exploit the extreme temperature, microgravity and ultra-high vacuum conditions available in low earth orbit (LEO) to manufacture materials that cannot readily be grown terrestrially. Returning these materials to earth, we aim to revolutionise the semiconductor market and to make space work for humanity. To achieve this we have developed a range of technologies including the world’s first returnable and reusable satellite platform, the ForgeStar. The Space Forge team is deliberately made from individuals who are adaptable and willing to learn new skills quickly. We are now looking for a highly skilled Cyber Security Support Analyst who is willing and able to adapt to the requirements asked of them whilst maintaining a good level of output quality. Additionally as a scale up, employees are sometimes asked to assist with duties beyond their nominal job description and we are looking for candidates who are happy to step up and try something new when needed. What will you do? Play an instrumental role in expanding our security infrastructure Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and vulnerabilities and ways to manage them Audit internal systems and processes to ensure compliance Key responsibilities Monitoring activity via Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms Carrying out internal audits Documentation of processes and procedures Give advice and guidance to staff on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails. Test and evaluate security products and check suppliers’ certification, compliance and accreditation Contributing to maintaining our Cyber Essentials Plus certification and achieving certifications such as ISO 27001 Requirements Essential Experience with SIEM and XDR platforms Incident response management Network Security Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Desirable skills Experience in achieving and maintaining certifications such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 Experience delivering Information Security training to both groups and individuals Experience delivering training to users of mixed understanding and ability Good organisational skills Soft skills Able to communicate with teams working both in and out of the office; Able to communicate professionally with customers and external stakeholders; Resilient and adaptable to technical and non-technical roadblocks We believe in a future where our most polluting industries are moved off the planet, built for sustainability, and returned back to Earth for the benefit of all.
