Job Brief
We're looking for a motivated individual ready to begin a career in Cyber Threat Intelligence. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone seeking to transition into cyber threat intelligence from another discipline.
The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, a proactive approach to learning, and a genuine interest in the field. You'll be supported in developing technical skills, but we're particularly looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of geopolitical issues and their relevance to cyber threats.
- Can produce clear, concise, and informative written reports.
- Is curious, analytical, and eager to grow in a fast-evolving domain.
Your responsibilities
- Creating open-source summaries concerning cyber threat incidents.
- Creating and updating threat actor profiles detailing salient information about cyber threat actors.
- Assisting in the production of strategic reporting concerning themes of interest (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, legal and military developments which have the potential to impact the cyber threat landscape).
- Responding to Requests for Intelligence (RFIs) from clients.
- Contributing to other tasks, including (but not limited to) marketing, client engagement, relationship management, business administration and attending industry events as requested.
Our Requirements
- The ability to write accessible, accurate and informative cyber threat intelligence reports.
- The ability to confidently present spoken intelligence briefings.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- The ability to write accurate, insightful and 'actionable' assessments.
- Intelligence processes and analytical techniques (for example, the intelligence cycle and the principles of intelligence).
- Current geopolitical themes and how they relate to the cyber threat landscape.
- Different types of cyber threat actors, how and why they conduct attacks.
- Evidence of a strong work ethic, with a proactive, results-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Holding the CREST Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst (CPTIA) or a similar qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Foreign language skills, whilst not essential, would be advantageous.
