We are looking for a professional Relief Security Officer who holds a valid SIA licence and meets residency requirements of at least five years in the UK for BPSS and SC clearance purposes. The ideal Relief Security Officer will have a full UK driving licence, the right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history, and strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken. As a Relief Security Officer, you should be customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discreet, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism at all times.
As a Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding people, property, and information. Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Conducting regular safety and security patrols, both internal and external, in all weather conditions.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
- Maintaining vigilance, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
- Accurately recording all activities and handovers.
- Access Control: Managing control points such as vehicle barriers and reception stations, and handling access passes.
- Visitor Management: Registering and escorting contractors and visitors, issuing temporary passes, and managing vehicle bookings.
- CCTV Monitoring: Identifying suspicious activities, responding to security breaches, and maintaining a proactive presence.
- Teamwork: Collaborating closely with the security team, communicating effectively with your Supervisor, and responding swiftly to incidents.

Qualifications We’re looking for someone who sees the bigger picture—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and is eager to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Valid SIA Licence
- Resident in the UK for at least 5 years (for BPSS / SC clearance purposes)
- Full UK Driving Licence (own transport may be required depending on site location)
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history (education/employment)
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
- Customer-focused, polite, tactful, and discreet
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience: 1–2 years in security, ideally in gatehouse operations, CCTV monitoring, and access control
- IT literate and comfortable using security systems
- Able to pass high-level security clearance
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance.
