Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Operating lane equipment and managing toll booths smoothly and professionally
- Classifying vehicles and processing toll payments per the schedule
- Recording and handling cash accurately, preparing deposits and ensuring safe handovers
- Communicating clearly and courteously with drivers, resolving enquiries on the spot or escalating where needed
- Following safety and operational procedures, keeping yourself and others safe
- Liaising with the Bridge Control Room and following instructions promptly
- Reporting incidents or equipment faults when necessary
- Maintaining supplies and equipment in your booth
- Writing clear reports and interpreting information effectively
- Upholding high standards of appearance and professionalism at all times
Qualifications: What We're Looking For:
- Essential:
- The right to work in the UK
- A 5-year checkable employment history (including study, unemployment or self-employment)
- Minimum of secondary school education
- Strong IT and communication skills
- A natural ability to deliver top-notch customer service with at least 2 years experience in a customer-facing role
- A commitment to our core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness
- Experience in a customer service or public-facing role
- Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate
- Previous work in the service sector
