Overview
As a Cargo Screener at Securitas you are a key part of the Aviation security operation and responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers, staff and aircraft at London Heathrow Airport. At Securitas you will use cutting‑edge detection technologies to conduct screening and security checks for various kinds of air freight shipments.
Responsibilities
- Operate X‑ray machines, metal detectors and other cutting‑edge detection technologies.
- Adapt to emerging AI‑based technologies and tools.
- Perform physical‑manual inspection of cargo.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies.
- Work collaboratively with airport departments and external agencies.
- Maintain focus and awareness within a demanding environment.
- Make effective decisions in line with established procedures.
- Be flexible to work various shift lengths dependent on the volume of cargo.
Additional Information
- You will be required to attend a mandatory 2‑3 week training course overseas – valid passport permitting entrance/travel abroad. Location(s) disclosed during the screening process.
- Opportunities to progress through further training.
- Requirement of 37.5 hours per week with an opportunity for overtime if available.
- Monthly travel & meal allowance provided.

Qualifications (Mandatory)
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full 5‑year checkable employment & education history.
- Valid passport permitting entrance to Israel & Europe.
- Fluent in English; other languages may be advantageous.
- Cannot be colour‑blind.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High integrity especially in sensitive situations.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
