As our Sustainability & Environment Lead, you'll be responsible for driving our UK sustainability agenda and ensuring alignment with our global sustainability strategy. You'll lead environmental programmes, oversee carbon reduction initiatives, manage ESG reporting and champion sustainability across all areas of the business.
From developing innovative environmental initiatives to influencing senior leaders and supporting major client opportunities, you'll play a key role in helping us build a more sustainable future for our people, customers, communities and the environment.
What you’ll be doing…
- Leading the delivery of the UK Sustainability Strategy in line with Group objectives.
- Driving environmental and sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
- Managing carbon reduction plans and emissions reporting across Scope 1, 2 and 3.
- Owning sustainability KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
- Maintaining and continually improving our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Leading environmental audits, assurance activities and corrective action programmes.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, industry standards and best practice.
- Managing sustainability accreditations, ESG assessments and client sustainability submissions.
- Developing impactful social value and community investment programmes.
- Supporting commercial teams with sustainability content for bids, tenders and client reporting.
- Identifying environmental risks, opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinating sustainability governance, leadership reporting and Board updates.
- Monitoring emerging legislation and sustainability trends to keep the business ahead of the curve.

What you’ll bring…
We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is passionate about delivering real-world impact. You will ideally have:
- Experience within sustainability, ESG, environmental management or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of carbon reporting and emissions management.
- Experience managing ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation and sustainability reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive mindset and passion for driving positive change.
- Robust project management and organisational skills.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Ability to provide 5 year checkable work history in line with BS7858 Screening standards.
