We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer!
Location: Covering Teesside and surrounding areas
Pay: £12.60 - £13.80
Hours: Guaranteed 48 hours (covering days, nights and weekends)

As a Relief Security Officer, you’ll deliver essential protection across a variety of locations, ensuring the safety of people, property and assets while demonstrating Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide security services across multiple sites within a defined geographical area, protecting people, property, and assets.
- Prevent unauthorised access, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and conduct thorough internal and external patrols.
- Manage keys, oversee locking/unlocking procedures, and perform routine tests on security equipment.
- Control site traffic, enforce parking rules, and maintain accurate logs, records, and visitor/contractor passes.
- Support staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring full compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Respond to emergencies, fire alarms, hazards, and incidents, reporting accurately both verbally and in writing.
- Operate radios, stop-and-search procedures, and other site-specific security equipment to deter crime.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional appearance and handling enquiries confidently.
- Complete shift check-ins, paperwork, and handovers in line with company policy; adapt to varied site requirements.

What we’re looking for:
- A valid SIA licence. (Although Securitas UK are able to provide training (funded by us) should you be interested in joining the world of Security!)
- A full UK driving licence and own transport.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
- To be available as and when called upon to cover shifts, occasionally at short notice.
- Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Be punctual and reliable.
