- Full UK driving licence and own transport
The Security Officer is responsible for delivering a professional security service that protects people, property, and assets by following Assignment Instructions and customer requirements. As a Security Officer, they are expected to always act with professionalism and ensure a safe and secure environment. The Security Officer must also uphold Securitasâ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness in every aspect of their role.
Responsibilities:
- Protecting property and premises by preventing unauthorised access, monitoring alarms and CCTV, conducting patrols, managing parking, completing lock/unlock duties, and reporting incidents while maintaining equipment and passes.
- Upholding health & safety by ensuring the safety of staff and visitors, reporting hazards, following emergency and First Aid procedures, and keeping accurate records.
- Preventing loss and waste by identifying risks such as theft or vandalism and reducing unnecessary energy use.
- Using radios and security devices, conducting searches when required, and investigating and reporting suspicious activity.
- Providing strong customer service, handling queries, and maintaining high presentation standards.
- Completing handovers, maintaining paperwork, attending training, following company policies, and carrying out any duties requested by management.
