The predicted salary is between 13 - 17 £ per hour.

Location: London, E14 4QA

Pay: £16.93 per hour

Hours: 42 hours a week: 4 on, 4 off, working days, including weekends and bank holidays

As a Lead Security Officer, you will play a key role in managing the security team and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across your shift. Acting as the main point of contact for service delivery and performance, you will help maintain strong working relationships between the client and Securitas while upholding the company values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. Your leadership will directly contribute to the success and professionalism of the on‑site security operation.

In this role, you will oversee officer training compliance, coordinate staffing and rota planning, and carry out regular check‑ins to support development and maintain high performance standards. You will also monitor conduct and appearance, address any issues in line with company policies, and encourage a culture of recognition within the team. Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Conduct monthly check-ins with all security officers, proactively monitoring performance, maintaining positive employee relations and implementing coaching, counselling and investigations as needed.
  • Monitor and manage the appearance and behaviour of all security personnel, taking remedial action in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Report all incidents in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.
  • Monitor faults with security-related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly.
  • Be fully conversant with operational functions including Access Control, CCTV, Detection and Alarm Systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist the site manager with any reasonable or practical request.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • A valid SIA licence.
  • Flexibility to work days and weekends.
  • Works well with others and contributes positively to the environment.
  • Dependable, takes ownership, and adjusts well to change.
  • Can analyse issues and offer practical solutions.
  • Ability to perform core duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Able to commit to a 6am start and able to attend site on weekends and bank holidays.
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
