We’re Hiring: Casual Security Officer!

Location: Hatfield, AL10 9AB

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Casual - zero hours

Join Securitas as a Security Officer and play a key role in protecting our clients' people, property and assets across a range of sites within a designated area. You will deliver a consistently high standard of customer service while embodying our core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers.

As a Security Officer, your key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting security patrols
  • Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
  • Controlling site access
  • Responding to security incidents in line with site procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Managing keys and access passes
  • Supporting the day-to-day security operations of each site
  • Providing a professional and welcoming presence at all times

Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to sites
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors while ensuring the safeguarding of the premises
  • Perform routine tests of security equipment where appropriate

Qualifications:
