As a Service Engineer - Fire & Security, you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our customers' systems across technologies such as:

  • Access Control
  • Intrusion Protection
  • Video Surveillance
  • Door Entry
  • Audio Alarm Verification
  • Staff Protection
  • Public Address
  • Time & Attendance
  • LED Lighting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service working closely with the Area Supervisor and National Call Centre.
  • Use PDA management software to manage service calls and maintenance visits.
  • Attend and resolve daily service calls plus scheduled maintenance work.
  • Take responsibility for your vehicle and stock ensuring they're properly maintained.
  • Bring a proactive positive can-do approach to every job.
  • Join the callout rota with opportunities for additional earning potential.
  • Work flexibly when needed to meet client demand.
  • Be based within 30 minutes of your working area for responsive service.

Qualifications Eligibility & Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Technical Knowledge:

  • Intruder systems such as Texecom, Galaxy, Pacom & GE ranges.
  • Access Control (PC-based & standalone): Lenel, CEM, C-Cure, PAC & Paxton.
  • CCTV systems across analogue and IP platforms.
  • Advantageous: experience with Milestone, Dahua, Genetec and CEM.
  • Strong IP networking skills and understanding of basic electrical principles.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 3 years experience in the security systems industry.
  • Proven field service / technical experience.
  • Clean full UK driving licence.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards.
  • The right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service track record.
  • Ability to spot and refer potential sales opportunities (commission available).
  • Good communication, time management and planning skills.
