The Security Officer is responsible for delivering a professional security service that protects people, property, and assets by following Assignment Instructions and customer requirements. As a Security Officer, they are expected to always act with professionalism and ensure a safe and secure environment. The Security Officer must also uphold Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness in every aspect of their role.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor alarms, CCTV systems, and security equipment.
- Maintain and check security equipment, passes, and records.
- Identify risks such as theft, vandalism, or suspicious behaviour.
- Help reduce waste and unnecessary energy use through proactive monitoring.
- Use radios and other security devices effectively.
- Conduct searches when required by site policy.
- Provide professional and courteous support to staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Attend training sessions to keep skills and qualifications up to date.
- Follow all company and site policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Ability to build relationships and network effectively.
Requirements:
- SIA licence - SG or DS, First Aid qualification.
- Right to work in the UK, aged 18 or over.
- Punctual and reliable, willing to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
- Experience as a Security Officer.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
