Location: Swansea

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Contract – 24 hours per week, primarily Saturday and Sunday day shifts.

Purpose: Protect the customer’s employees, property, and assets at various sites as a Relief Security Officer. Deliver the highest levels of customer service while adhering to assignment instructions and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Licence.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport is highly desirable.
  • Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and short-notice shifts.
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities:

  • Prevent unauthorised access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV systems, and respond to incidents according to assignment instructions.
  • Conduct internal patrols and complete routine checks of security equipment.
  • Manage keys, including issuing, handling, and completing locking/unlocking duties.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and records as required.
  • Issue visitor and contractor passes and ensure compliance with site procedures.
  • Handle lost property in line with company policy.
  • Provide guidance and information to staff, visitors, and contractors.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, accidents, and incidents promptly.
  • Ensure walkways and emergency escape routes remain clear.
  • Respond appropriately to fire alarm activations.

Health & Safety:

  • Provide support, guidance, and information to staff, visitors, and contractors while promoting a safe working environment.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Report and record hazards, unsafe working conditions, faults, and incidents according to company procedures.

Additional Duties – Incident & Emergency Response:

  • Record all accidents in line with assignment instructions.
  • Ensure all walkways and emergency escape routes remain clear at all times.
  • Conduct regular checks of first aid equipment and report any shortfalls or issues.
  • Notify the Securitas Operations Centre (SOC) of any emergency situations and follow instructions.
  • Assist with fire alarm activations and support the cause investigation process.

Qualifications:

  • SIA Licence (must hold).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport highly desirable.
  • 5-year checkable history of right to work in the UK.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken.
