Overview
We are seeking a Specialist Aviation Security Agent to join our team at London Heathrow Airport. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and aircraft within our bustling international aviation hub.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, luggage, and cargo using state-of-the-art equipment
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security devices with precision and efficiency
- Monitor CCTV systems to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities
- Implement and enforce aviation security regulations and protocols
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies
- Collaborate with various airport departments and external agencies to maintain a secure environment
- Perform passenger profiling and behavioural analysis to identify potential risks
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed incident reports as required
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on the latest security procedures and technologies
Qualifications
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in aviation security or a related field
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Current security clearance
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects when necessary
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with passengers from diverse backgrounds
- Expertise in threat assessment and passenger profiling techniques
Additional Information
- You will be required to attend a mandatory 3.5 week training course abroad (location disclosed at screening) where you will receive in depth knowledge to provide you with the skills to operate as a Specialist Security Agent.
- Starting pay through basic training is £12.90, rising to £14.59 after successful completion of initial training. You will be salaried.
- Opportunities to progress with further training.
- Requirement of 163 hours per month with an opportunity for overtime if available.
- Monthly travel & meal allowance provided

- Bank holidays paid at double time & Overtime paid at time and a half.
