Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support young people\’s learning and development at our specialized school.

  • Assist pupils in making progress toward their EHCP targets.
  • Ensure safeguarding and protection of pupils.
  • Promote attendance, attainment, and achievement.
  • Support pupils in developing learning and life skills.

Qualifications and Professional Development

  • Level 2 or Level 3 in Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.

Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Creativity and adaptability in teaching approaches.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in IT as a work tool.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams and agencies.
  • Knowledge of current Disability/SEN theory and practice, especially related to Autism.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, legal, and scrutiny frameworks.
  • Ability to implement inclusive strategies to enhance attendance, attainment, and achievement.

Our school is located on an 84-acre site in Barrowmore, rural Cheshire. We offer up to 20 places for students aged 7 to 19 with complex needs arising from autism, behavioral, and learning difficulties. Our dedicated staff provide exceptional support, and our education, health, care, and therapy teams work closely with parents, carers, and funders to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
