Job Description

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of security standards to the required levels, going above and beyond to be a positive brand ambassador for Securitas and ensuring the services you provide are delivered to the highest standards. You will be proactive in the undertaking of standard operating conditions and need to be on hand to respond to a range of security and safety threats or events.

Your role will include:

1. Preventing and deterring unauthorized access to the site.
2. Monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV.
3. Maintaining all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conducting effective handover procedures.
4. Securely guarding the property, protecting company assets, visiting customers, and employees of our client.
5. Remaining alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity and retaining full control until the authorities arrive.
6. Ensuring health and safety procedures are always followed, recording and reporting all faults and health and safety hazards.
7. Operating radios and other physical security equipment used on site.
8. Carrying out initial investigations and reporting both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles.
9. Reporting instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged, and/or vandalized.
10. Providing exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Valid SIA Licence
• 5-year checkable work history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
• Right to work in the UK
• MUST BE BRITISH NATIONAL OR HELD BRITISH PASSPORT FOR MIN 5 YEARS
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• No current criminal convictions.
• Punctual and reliable
