We’re Hiring: Security Officer!

Location: Witney

Pay: £12.60 per hour

Hours: 4 on, 4 off, nights: 6pm – 6am

Join our team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in protecting people, property, and assets at our client’s site. You will deliver a professional security service in line with Assignment Instructions, ensuring safety and peace of mind for everyone on site. This position requires a proactive approach and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and customer care

We are looking for a Security Officer who demonstrates integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness in every aspect of their work. You must hold a full SIA licence before starting operational shifts and be ready to take on responsibilities such as monitoring alarms and CCTV, conducting patrols, and managing access control.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
  • Carry out routine tests of the security equipment where appropriate
  • Welcome visitors, verify identification, issue passes and ensure compliance with site access procedures while maintaining a professional and friendly approach
  • Monitor entry and exit points, check credentials and prevent any unauthorised access to maintain site security
  • Respond quickly to incidents such as fire alarms or security breaches, follow established protocols and assist emergency services when required

Qualifications

  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
