We’re hiring a part‑time Kennel Assistant at Chalkwell Kennels to work weekends.
Location: Rushden, NN10 0SP
Pay: £11.44 to £13.00 per hour
Hours: Part‑Time (Weekends only) – Saturday 08:00‑18:00, Sunday 08:00‑14:00

- Experience working with animals – a must
- Passion for animal welfare and care

Essential Responsibilities:
- Cleaning kennels, cattery units and play areas to high standards
- Feeding, grooming and providing daily enrichment for our furry guests
- Exercise, playtime and one‑on‑one interaction – from fun activities to comforting cuddles
- Physically demanding tasks (standing, kneeling, lifting, handling animals of various sizes)
Essential Criteria:
- Eligibility to work in the UK with a 5‑year checkable history
- Demonstrable experience working with animals and comfortable handling dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures to ensure the highest level of care
- A reliable team player with a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Presentable and professional – smart, clean, and tidy in appearance
- Polite, approachable, and customer‑focused, providing excellent service to clients
