The predicted salary is between 28000 - 35000 £ per year.
Complete month end procedures, including journals, accruals, variance analysis, and management reporting.
Assist with the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
Maintain and update daily cash trackers.
Support PSA, ONS, and environmental submissions.
Assist with audits by preparing and providing required documentation.
Support systems testing and implementation initiatives as required.
Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team and offer cross cover where needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a ledger or accounts assistant role, or is a recent graduate.
- A good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills, with good attention to detail.
- A passion for continuous improvement, both personally and in improving work processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with at least good Excel skills.
- A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- A proactive approach, able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small hybrid team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support a growing group of companies.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn through coaching and self-driven development.
- Ideally, you will be AAT qualified or part qualified (CIMA / ACCA), with exposure to finance month end processes, although this is not essential.
