Site Based

As a Security Officer, you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and assets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working in line with site procedures and customer requirements, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, vigilance, and professionalism at all times.

The role as a Security Officer includes:

  • Conducting internal and external patrols
  • Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
  • Controlling site access
  • Issuing visitor passes
  • Managing keys
  • Carrying out locking and unlocking duties
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting traffic and parking management
  • Performing routine equipment checks
  • Responding appropriately to security incidents, lost property, and other site-related issues

Responsibilities:

  • Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site.
  • Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
  • Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
  • Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.

Qualifications:

  • A valid SIA licence
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Strong communication skills in English - both written and spoken
