We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and resilient Casual Children's Support Workers to join our friendly team at our 4-bed children's home in Winsford, supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities. As a Casual Children's Support Worker, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and support tailored to each child's individual needs. You will help create a positive home environment where children feel valued, respected and empowered to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting children with daily living activities and personal care where required.
Encouraging participation in education, hobbies, social activities and community opportunities.
Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Promoting independence, communication and life skills.
Supporting children to manage behaviours that may challenge through positive and proactive approaches.
Maintaining a safe, caring and structured home environment.
Completing accurate records and reports.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, schools, health professionals and other agencies.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities.
- Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
- Experience in residential care, preferably with children.
Location: Winsford, Cheshire
Salary: Β£13.15 per hour + 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay
Hours: Casual / Bank Contract (Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and holidays)
