This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role at the heart of NRC Operations. As our Senior Case Worker, you’ll help keep complex medico-legal cases moving by coordinating expert input, supporting report progression, managing key relationships, and ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time.
This role is fixed term until the end of May 2027 as maternity cover.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing an allocated caseload and providing tailored administrative support to medical experts.
- Building strong, professional relationships with experts, solicitors and colleagues.
- Acting as the central point of liaison, managing a busy flow of emails, updates, actions and deadlines.
- Formatting and quality-checking detailed reports, letters and case correspondence.
- Keeping stakeholders informed, managing expectations and resolving issues with confidence and diplomacy.
- Adapting your approach to suit different working styles and occasionally providing support outside normal office hours when a case requires it.
- Sharing ideas and insight with the Operations Director to help improve processes and the service we provide.
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, attention to detail and a collaborative approach - someone who takes pride in doing things well, builds strong working relationships, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a specialist service where quality, responsiveness and trust really matter.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience as a PA, EA, senior administrator, case coordinator or in another complex support role.
- First-class organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written communication, proofreading and document-formatting skills.
- A natural relationship-builder who communicates clearly, professionally and in plain English.
- High levels of accuracy, literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence handling sensitive information and challenging conversations with discretion and sound judgement.
- A proactive, calm and service-focused approach.
Your Background:
- You may currently work as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, senior administrator, legal secretary, medical secretary, case coordinator or client services professional.
- Experience in healthcare, legal or medico-legal services would be useful, as would an understanding of medical terminology, but neither is essential.
- We are more interested in your core skills, judgement and ability to build trusted professional relationships.
Interested?
We would love to hear from candidates who take pride in delivering exceptional support and who enjoy making complex work feel organised, clear and under control.
High-level case coordination, expert support and stakeholder relationship management
Could you be the person who keeps complex work moving and trusted relationships strong?
NRC is looking for an exceptionally organised and people-focused Senior Case Worker to support a portfolio of medical experts and coordinate communication with solicitors. This is not a traditional legal or clinical role. At its heart, it is a high-level PA, EA and complex administration role in which outstanding organisation, judgement, communication and relationship-building really matter.
You will become a trusted point of contact for experts and solicitors, understand how each expert prefers to work, keep cases and deadlines on track, and ensure reports and correspondence are accurate, polished and delivered to a consistently high standard.
If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, anticipating what people need and providing a responsive, personal service, this could be an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a specialist professional-services environment.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a growing specialist medico-legal service with a clear purpose.
- You will play a central role in a specialist service where excellent administration and strong relationships directly influence quality and success.
- You will have the autonomy to take ownership of your portfolio, work closely with experienced professionals and help shape better ways of working as the service develops.
- Join a team where organisation, initiative, professionalism and collaboration are genuinely valued.
