Job Description null

Conduct scheduled inspections of vacant and managed properties.

Perform weekly fire alarm tests and accurately record results.

Undertake internal and external security inspections of properties.

Inspect doors, windows, locks, gates, fencing, and other access points for signs of damage, attempted intrusion, or security vulnerabilities.

Monitor properties for evidence of unauthorised access, vandalism, theft, damage, or other incidents.

Facilitate access visits and provide site access to authorised contractors, clients, and approved personnel.

Check alarm systems and report any faults, activations, or operational issues.

Carry out routine facilities management and compliance checks as directed.

Perform scheduled emergency lighting flick tests and maintain accurate records of findings.

Conduct visual inspections of fire safety and life-safety equipment, within the scope of training and competency.

Identify and report maintenance concerns, leaks, defects, damage, or other issues requiring remedial action.

Capture photographs and complete detailed electronic inspection reports following each site visit.

Promptly escalated significant security, health and safety, maintenance, or compliance issues through the appropriate reporting channels.

Liaise effectively with the Control Room, Operations Team, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders as required.

Adhere to site-specific assignment instructions, risk assessments, company policies, and safe systems of work.

Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and assets are used safely, responsibly, and in accordance with company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold a valid SIA Licence.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Be available to work 24 hours per week.
  • Be comfortable driving between multiple locations as part of their normal duties.
  • Be reliable and capable of working independently.
  • Have good observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be able to accurately complete electronic reports and inspection records.
  • Be comfortable using mobile applications and taking photographic evidence

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and proactive Part-Time Vacant Property Inspection Officer to undertake scheduled property inspections, access visits, and basic facilities compliance checks across a portfolio of vacant and managed properties.

This is a mobile-based role working 24 hours per week, requiring regular travel between sites.

The position combines elements of property inspection, security monitoring, and basic facilities management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in safeguarding client assets by identifying, recording, and reporting security risks, maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, and property-related defects.

This is not a traditional security guarding role.

Instead, it requires an individual who is comfortable working independently while carrying out a blend of security, property inspection, and facilities-related duties.

Acting as FRG's eyes and ears on site, the Vacant Property Inspection Officer will ensure that properties remain secure, well monitored, and compliant with basic operational requirements.

The role requires accurate record keeping, attention to detail, and the prompt escalation of any issues identified during visits
