Schedulers coordinate PPM visits, manage engineer diaries, handle ownership of return visits, schedule specialist equipment, make decisions based on priorities, SLAs, skillsets, and locations, track customer complaints, and perform additional administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) visits
  • Manage field service engineers’ diaries and allocate work in line with business targets
  • Take ownership of all return visits required following an engineer’s initial attendance
  • Coordinate and schedule specialist equipment or subcontractors in accordance with company procedures
  • Make informed decisions by assessing multiple factors such as priority, SLA, engineer skillset, and location
  • Log, track, and support the resolution of customer complaints
  • Carry out additional administrative or coordination tasks assigned by the Manager

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a call centre and/or customer‑facing role (internal or external)
  • Confident using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to use multiple systems simultaneously
  • The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history
  • Strong team player with an open and honest approach to workload
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills with Regional Service Managers and engineers
