At SecureCloud+ we deliver fully managed secure ICT services to the UK’s Defence and Security sectors. We are currently looking for a Junior Project Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Junior IT Project Manager to join our team. As a Junior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager/Head of Projects in planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for those with ambition in Project Management to develop and train in project management and gain hands‑on experience in managing IT projects within a collaborative and innovative environment in the Security and Defence Sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in Project Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with project managers/stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. Help in developing project schedules and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Support communication between various stakeholders including clients, vendors, and internal teams. Ensure stakeholders are kept informed of project status, risks, and issues.
  • Project Documentation & Reporting: Assist in maintaining project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk logs, and change requests. Prepare regular progress reports and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Monitor project risks and issues, escalating them to project managers when necessary. Work with the team to identify and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resource Management: Help with the allocation and tracking of project resources, ensuring teams have the necessary tools and support.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards by assisting in testing, reviews, and validation processes.
  • Project Close-out: Assist in the transition of completed projects to the operational team. Help gather post‑project feedback for continuous improvement.

Key Qualifications

  • Education: Educated to Degree level in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field desired or able to demonstrate experience in related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and systems integration is preferred.
  • Experience: Preferred background of working within a Project Delivery function but not essential; however, any internships or academic projects related to IT project management or delivery of technical infrastructure/digital transformation services are advantageous.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about IT project management. Ability to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused approach. Culturally aligned to a “One Team” mindset and “Can Do” attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage.
