About The Role
As a People Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our People and Communication Strategy, providing expert advice and support across the business. You’ll work closely with managers and employees to resolve employee relations matters, drive performance, and champion a culture of fairness, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coaching and advising managers on people policies, employee relations, and performance management.
- Managing a wide range of ER cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, and more.
- Drafting and reviewing documentation with a focus on clarity, compliance, and commercial awareness.
- Identifying learning needs and delivering engaging training sessions to upskill line managers.
- Monitoring and analysing people metrics to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Leading the development and enhancement of people policies and procedures.
- Supporting change management programmes and contributing to key people projects.
- Collaborating with employee network groups like the Inclusioneers, Wellbeing Champions, and Employee Voice.
- Staying up to date with employment legislation and sharing insights with the wider team.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven expertise in employee relations and a strong grasp of UK employment law.
- Experience managing complex ER cases with confidence and professionalism.
- A proactive, resilient, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness with a people-first mindset.
- Ability to coach, influence, and challenge constructively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience supporting people projects.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
Experience in financial services and organisational change is a bonus, but not essential.
