About The Role
Help us protect our customers and our business. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Crime Operations Officer to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding our organisation from financial crime risks. If you’re passionate about doing the right thing, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Investigating unusual activity reports and escalating concerns to the Group’s Nominated Officer where appropriate.
- Responding to data requests from law enforcement and other third parties.
- Conducting customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring for higher-risk customers.
- Reviewing transactions and identifying indicators of suspicious activity.
- Supporting business areas in understanding their financial crime responsibilities.
- Designing and delivering tailored financial crime awareness training.
You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement and help ensure our policies and practices align with regulatory expectations.
What you’ll bring
- Has experience working in a financial crime function, ideally within financial services.
- Understands the UK’s financial crime legal and regulatory framework.
- Has hands‑on experience with customer screening, transaction monitoring, and SARs.
- Is a logical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally.
- Can work independently and manage their own workload effectively.
Bonus points if you hold an industry-recognised financial crime qualification—but it’s not essential.
