Why This Role Matters
Our Credit Risk team defines the Bank’s risk appetite, sets policies for customer acceptance, and ensures lending portfolios perform within tolerance. Beyond monitoring arrears, we provide strategic oversight, regulatory compliance, and portfolio analysis to safeguard sustainable growth. As a Strategy Designer, you’ll maintain and enhance credit policy‑driven initiatives, working closely with IT teams and external partners to deliver robust, sustainable solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and manage product‑specific credit strategies, scorecards, and policy rules within our Decisioning Platform (DP).
- Ensure governance and compliance when promoting changes to UAT or Production environments.
- Take ownership of unit, system, and user acceptance testing across decisioning processes.
- Build strong relationships with Credit Reference Agencies and third‑party partners to enhance our Credit Risk and Fraud capabilities.
- Execute Champion/Challenger scenario testing and maintain accurate documentation for all strategy‑related activities.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with Decisioning Platforms and end‑to‑end delivery of credit strategies.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and design technical solutions using analytical tools.
- Proficiency in coding (LUA or Python) and deploying strategy changes.
- At least two years’ experience in Credit Risk within retail banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- Desirable: SAS, Excel, SQL, and Python skills.
