Job Summary: We are currently recruiting a professional and proactive Retail Security Officer to join our team at a busy retail premises in Stratford (E15). You will play a key role in safeguarding store assets, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of customers and staff at all times. This part-time role offers 19 hours per week, ideal for candidates seeking flexible work in a well-supported retail security environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a strong and visible security presence on the shop floor
- Prevent theft, stock loss, and antisocial behaviour through proactive monitoring and intervention
- Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises
- Liaise with store management and emergency services when required
- Accurately record and report all security incidents, hazards, and suspicious activity
- Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional security posture
Requirements:
- Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence (Required)
- Previous experience in a retail or supermarket security role (preferred)
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
