You are responsible for maintaining safety and order in a busy restaurant environment operating within a major shopping centre. The venue serves high volumes of guests throughout the day, with peak pressure during evenings, weekends, and event days.

Core Responsibilities

  • Front of House Security and Access Control
    • Monitor and manage entry during peak periods
    • Support host staff with queue control and seating flow
    • Prevent overcrowding at entrances and waiting areas
    • Ensure only paying or authorised guests access dining areas
  • Customer Safety and Behaviour Management
    • De‑escalate conflict between guests calmly and professionally
    • Identify and manage intoxicated or disruptive individuals
    • Support staff in maintaining a safe dining environment
    • Enforce venue rules without disrupting guest experience
  • Asset and Venue Protection
    • Monitor for theft, suspicious behaviour, or dishonest activity
    • Protect staff areas and ensure guests do not access restricted zones
    • Safeguard cash handling points and high‑risk areas near the bar
    • Maintain awareness of bags, unattended items, and unusual behaviour
  • Crowd and Queue Management
    • Control waiting queues during peak dining hours
    • Prevent congestion in narrow entry points and mall walkways
    • Support smooth guest flow during reservation surges
    • Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff during busy service periods
  • Emergency Response
    • Respond to medical incidents (fainting, slips, panic attacks)
